Open Office or Word

Are there any programs out there that can be downloaded like word processor or open office so i can use it for school and print from it. I have figured out my internet and sound problem here just throwing out another easy problem that most likely will be solved.

What do you mean?
Open Office can easily be downloaded and installed on any computer.
Do you mean to be used from a USB stick or portable drive?
If so, you might consider using portable Ubuntu:
http://lifehacker.com/5195999/portab...inside-windows
That article describes how to set up and use it.
There are also portable apps that work on other Operating Systems, but you can find how to set it up in other forums if that is you preference.
Cheers

Well for slackware you have to download it from the slackbuild for openoffice. You can download the slackbuild from www.slackbuilds.org.
The installation instructions are there in the website. If you are a bit good with the command line then installation will not be a problem. The instructions are very simple.

Best of luck.

Hello together,

for Slackware there is this http://submax.altervista.org/index.p...-multilang.php installer for an installation of openoffice in many languages.
