Open/Libre Office Formula Editor - How to write reserved symbols?

I'm trying to add the subscript "int" to something in the LibreOffice formula editor, but it automatically changes this into an integral. I know I can just put spaces between each letter, but that bothers me and seems unclean. How do I correctly write "int" without it becoming an integral?

Also, just for future reference, is this formula editor format based off of LaTeX/TeX?

Thank you much!

The answer is
a_"int"
I got that at http://user.services.openoffice.org/en/forum/ where someone had already asked it.
