Open gaim urls in new firefox tab

In gaim you have to configure where the client opens urls. I have the choice between Konqueror (which I don't want to use), or Manual.

If I choose manual and type "/therightdir/firefox/firefox %s" that works, only it wants to open a new browser instead of a new tab/window. That means a different profile would have to be created too, which is a bit of a hassle.

Is there anybody who knows how to open a link in a new firefox tab?
