Only grub left..?
Dear somebody
I am panicing, I had help to uninstall linux for a dual boot... Anyway, I got the computer back in GRUB mode... when I turn my computer on I have GRUB when I write root I get (hd0,0) empty... Can somebody help me, I need to clear the harddisk and do a complete new installation. Unfortunatly I do not have acces to any linux cd or floppys (not that I probbaly can read anyof those anyway...) Please help me... |
Get a diskfrom bootdisk.com (Win ME disks work well..)
boot off of it (change the bios config to boot off the floppy first) And type in fdisk /mbr That will get rid of grub, next just type fdisk and make yourself a new paritition (your windows will still be there, unless you overwrote it, fdisk /mbr resets to the main windows bootloader) |
