Question old laptop, what linux will be best?


i have an old laptop (Compaq contura 430c) it has 24mb ram and an equally pathetic cpu (not sure) and hate windows 95 and cant run 98 being so close too min requierments and am turning to linux, any help?

Slackware with minimal installation of only the packages you need, or DSL.

This question has been asked and answered more times than you know. Search, Tom ;-)

You should report that to Jeremy. I entered your thread title in LQ's search and got the maximum of 600 hits!
