Enter sudo -s and press “Enter”button in the terminal window and enter the password set in the Ubuntu12.04 installation process, then enter into the root mode.
run gedit /etc /ghtdm /ghtdm.conf in the terminal window
Start the root account: execute passwd root command in the terminal window, enter root account name and password according to the prompt. Restart the ubuntu, a login item will appear, and then you could log in as a root user.
