Oops.

I just noticed the version numbers are different between your running kernel version, and the kernel source. Try doing 'yum update kernel' (to get the latest kernel, which should be the same version as the kernel-devel package you yummed earlier), then reboot, and make sure the correct (2.6.12) version is selected in the boot menu.

Sorry for the confusion.
