Ok, i have just received distros in mail, now wich one?

I am running through Redhat 9.0 now, looks good, looks to be alot of useful apps, nearly everything works, but its just a little to slow (but only a little bit).

Im on a Celeron 333 with 360 mb of ram a Rage 4mb Card and a Run of the mill 52x cd rom.
(Surprisingly this pc is faster(way faster) than my mates pentium 550 with the same amount of ram ?)

I also got here Vector 4.0 and Mandrake 9.2.

I liked this install (Redhat 9.0) because it found the net strait away no problems through my lan card which is plugged in to the netcomm nb1300 modem/roughter.

Vector wich i only was just able to install didnt find the net and i havent got enough knowledge to do that manually and if i do from the help of this forum it could take days to get replys to have it done- if it all.

Mandrake 9.2 however i havent tryed and was wondering if that is maybey a faster and maybey newbie friendy option to this redhat install wich has been giving me nothing but problems in the way of installing RPM's with dependency failures left right and centre (when they should have been automaticly installed with the rest of the system).

Do note the biggest Nono is the no-det-detect, if you can reccomend a distro that meets a newcomers needs, but the distro cant offer a good hardware auto find-net connection service than it is a definate no-go, because hey- i cant ask questions like these or get any help at all with no internet.

i installed Mandrake 9.2 on a P2 350 380MB RAM and it went like a crippled snail uphill into a headwind.
Slackware 9.1 and SuSE both went faster and I ended up settling on SuSE.
Mandrake runs best on fast(er) machines.
(Mdk 9.2 runs brilliantly on my main athlon 1700 machine.)

Bear in mind I'm talking about gui response time and app loading time.
