ok i have updated everything i can update i followed all instructions closely why will it not let me create a user password in mysqld?? it says "connect to server localhost failed" acsess denied (using password NO)" using fedora 5????? any help???? THANX!!! ps im using the perfect setup

Is the mysql server started?
