OK, Booting problems, i guess i need help

ok, editing this to make more sense.. but.. I took an 80gig drive that had two 40gig partitions on it..one was windows, the other was storage.. removed the storage and installed linux there.. so the windows that was installed was so a while ago.. linux installed everything and then restarted, never editing the boot sector of the drive.. so it does not try to load linux, just windows. is there anyway i can fix that ?

Boot from the Linux CD or boot floppy in rescue mode and then reinstall the boot loader from within Linux. If you use grub you should probably use grub-install /dev/hda and if you use Lilo you should just re-run /sbin/lilo after making sure that /etc/lilo.conf is OK.
