OGG file from DVD movies

I have a few favorite quotes from some movies I own. What would be the easiest way to extract only a bit of audio? I've tried playing a movie and simultaneously recording in Audacity, but they fight for access to /dev/dsp. I'd rather not have to extract the entire thing, because it would take too long to find the 30 seconds I want in a two hour movie, but I will if I have to. Thanks in advance!

Nevermind! Fixed it. These were the magic words:
mplayer dvd://[title] -chapter [chapter #]-[chapter #] -dumpfile [filename].wav -ao pcm
It won't send the output to [filename].wav, but I don't feel like experimenting now.
