OCR

I have already installed some packages relating to OCR like tesseract , in fact, I can't see it at all. If there is a possibility to find a link to download a good software. it is great of you. thank you for following up

Sorry, your question doesn't make much sense. You say you've downloaded and installed 'some packages', but don't know what you mean by "I can't see it at all". Do you mean you can't find them on your start menu? Don't know how to run them? Can't scan? Won't OCR??

Clarify, please.

Sorry for confusion .
I have installed the programme "tesseract" , But I can't find it on my start menu, so I couldn't start the programme . I searched the web for some alternative software ,but in vain.

could I find and run the programme? if not ?
Could you, please , write down a link for download ? I am using Ubuntu.
Thank you again TB0ne for efforts and sorry again for confusion.

Try typing this is a terminal
Code:
whereis tesseract
As a general rule, executables from packages are put in /usr/bin which is usually in your path. Tesseract is a cli so you run it from a terminal.
cheers,
jdk
