O_DIRECT option of bonnie++

Hi, there
Is anybody know the O_DIRECT option of bonnie++ ??
I can't find it. Please help.

There doesn't appear to be one (yes, I saw your post in the other thread). Perhaps that person was referring to (and mis-interpreting) the -b option.

Perhaps you could have a look at fio as a benchmark instead.

Thanks a lot, I noticed that -b option means not using disk write cache.
But I'm now doing a disk throughput test, it requires that I should turn the read cache off.
I've tested my disk with -b option, and compare the results, as -b option said, it nearly took no effect on read speed.

Why would you expect it to ?. Unless you're re-reading the same data.

I'm doing a hard disk throughput test which requires that both read cache and write cache must be disabled.
