Nvidia Working Correctly

I have successfully installed the nvidia drivers. How do I know if they are operating correctly. So far the performance appears no different to just my generic nv drivers.

thats a good enough outcome ...
if the drivers weren't working you'd be lucky to
be receiving 10fps
so lets just say you were successful ...

a good way to know whether or not an nvidia install works is to see if the splash screen comes up when you startx and playing my favorite linux game... TuxRacer

the splash screen is definetaly not a good way to see if you were successful or not ..
if you don't have "Load glx" in your config file you will still see the splash screen
but you will not have 3d acceleration
