The Nvidia kernel source package or what?

The kernle-source for your kernel, should be found on the CD with distribution. Looks like kernel-source-2.4.xx-i386.rpm or something simmilar.

"You probably dont mean NVIDIA_Kernel?
I have this same problem as uneffected has.(or had)
What should i do to exit the X server? I tried to CTRL + ALT + BACKSPACE,
but it just rebooted(?) and asked my login, password like normally. [/B][/QUOTE]

Someone just said. Edit file /etc/inittab and somewhere on the first screen should be like this:
id:5:initdefault: so you have to change into id:3:initdefault: (5 -> 3) and restart the machine. After that there will be no X's running. After doing what you have to do, change back option from 3 to 5.

I need more details from you as well :>
From the beginning.

1. Edit /etc/inittab
2. Change id:5: on id:3:
3. Kill the X's or restart the machine.

Now you have no X's, yes? (I hope so :D)

4. Do what you want (install drivers, play games, wash your hands).

Now we are going back into default X's!

5. Edit /etc/inittab
6. Change id:3: on id:5:
7. Run gdm or startx or restart the computer.
8. Have fun.

Any more details?
