Nvidia Drivers !!

Hi all,
I was wondering if someone could help me install these nvidia drivers
I am getting errors when running make (I have included the error message below), does any one know what I am doing wrong? My kernel version is 2.4.20-8 Linux 9. I have all Sources installed so I don't know whats going on . I have followed Fingels instructions but to no avail, I am also getting the BuildMeister not found - using root (or something) when calling rpm -ivh filename etc..

Hope someone can help - Thanks

NVIDIA_kernel-1.0-2960 is very old, and probably not compatable with newer kernels. I suggest getting the getting the latest from http://www.nvidia.com/object/linux.html. The latest version is 1.0-4496.

Hi guys, thanks for all your help, installed and running. There is afew things I would like your help on, In the display settings(Linux 9) the tab where it says Enable Hardware acceleration is still greyed out yet I have Hardware acceleration , any idea what is going on here ? Also some screensavers don't seem to be using the video card for some reason ie XMatrix , it just crawls, has anyone experienced this ? I suppose its just the new drivers
, anyway thanks for all your help

don't worry about it...if you have them installed then you do have hardware acceleration...on some distros it will gray out and this is pointed out in the nvidia readme file, and it is nothing to worry about....
