Question numlock


Hello All,
Does anyone know how to set the numlock key on by default - ie it is on after booting/logging in? My wife was complaining because she has to push one whole extra button.

control center > periphials> keyboard . .... klik button for start num lock

I tried both. Nothing named peripherals in my control center. No numlock button in anything named keyboard.
The suggestion at the link did not work because ../init.d/numlock./S85 does not exist"

you running KDE or Gnome
cuz I know KDE's control center has peripherals,

on the login screen
at the botttom ---- session
try KDE just once

menu
control center
peripherals
