NTFS write support in LINUX ?

I want to know, what options do I have if I want NTFS write support in Linux ?
(modules and/or kernel version)

Also search for 'captive', which is a NTFS driver that uses the windows drivers.

well, I actually searched this forum and googled around, but found too much opinions which kinna confused me. I was searching for some help from you guys, who have more experience with linux.
I installed captive modules, but I get an error when mounting (I'm not near my computer tight now, but I'll post it later ) (I'm using Slackware with kernel 2.6.8.1)

I actually wanted to ask, from your experience, which is the safest way (from your experience) for read-write access of ntfs drives ? (including comercial options)

I installed captive-ntfs (solved some errors by rebooting) but after I do a mount /dev/hda2 /mnt/ntfs_part -t captive-ntfs, it appears it monts it read-only (I can't write files or create directories) . Any idea ? (i'm using slackware 10 with kernel 2.6.8.1)
