Now I've gone and done it....Puppy partitions.

Ok, I was bragging the other day about how I had gotten Puppy 1.0.8 to boot sucessfully on my 64mb Dell Inspiron. It rans really well and looks great.

So...I went ahead and started to install it. I partitioned the drive hda1 primary linux and gave it 300mb Hda 2 I made the primary linux/swap partition and pretty much gave it the rest of my 4MB's. I started to install and got to step 3 or 4 I think and the program came back and said that I had mounted the drive that I was trying to install on, it asked me if I would like to change that and I did thinking I would get it installed and go back latteer and change things around...

Long story short, the Live CD won't boot period, I go hrough all the original set-up otions, it stops and tells me that it can;t mount any drives, then I keep going and video doesn;t work at all.

How do I go in an wipe my hard drive to nothing, repartition and then install and should I burn another copy of the Live CD, I think it might have toasted itself during my failed install???

Heeeelp. I have Dawm Small running and installed but it's not nearly as Jazzy as the Pup.

This may help, if it runs on something that old:

Situations like these, it's nice to have some boot up utilities like, http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/, which has some linux or dos utilies. You can also try, http://gparted.sourceforge.net/, which is GNOME partition manager. Either should work...
