Novell.Zenworks.Zmd / Authentication error
Hey All, I keep getting this error when i boot up into my account:
Code:
System.NullReferenceException: A null value was found where an object instance was required. Also, my unit sort of locks me out after some time and produces an error when i try and unlock the account. I get a prompt asking me to enter user password to unlock the account and an error is displayed stating that system could not authenticate the user (Password is correct). I would like to post the error screen here but I have to hard-reset my computer each time this occurs. Any insight to what is happening? |
Are you using AppArmor?

Nope. I never set it up unless its up and running at default install.

What version of openSUSE are you using? If you keep having issues with the zenworks stuff, you can uninstall it using YAST, reboot and then you can use the classical package manager (its just the backend, so you keep using YAST as normal). Another alternative would be to use the SMART package manager.

After my experience with the early opensuse 10.1 and zen installer/zen updater, I followed a step by step guide to replace it with smart and uninstall zen.
Smart was so good, when I moved to 10.2, I immediately removed zen and put smart in it's place. Here's the link in case you decide to do that: http://suse-irc.org/news.php?extend.9 Cheers |
