Novel CLA vs Solaris (SCSA) Certification

Hii All,

I need your advise on the following career path to take.

I've been working with Linux for the past 2yrs mainly in configuring servers such as, mail, dns, firewall and other servers running on Centos, Fedora, Redhat Enterprise etc.

I have reached a crossed where I want to Certify myself in one of the Unix course-ware but, not to sure which one I should pursue first.

My current options are:-
1. Novell CLA and CLP
2. Solaris (SCSA)
3. Linux Certification

Please advised based on your experience and perspective on that high demand on the IT market.

Regards

I've done Solaris 10 (SCSA) and Linux (LPI level 1) certifications. However I've no experience of Novell. I would say that the base Solaris OS is rock solid but the modern features (which feature heavily in the exam) are awful. I'm thinking particularly about SMF (the init replacement). The LPI exam was a pleasure, although not as in depth.

As for demand I can only speak for my small corner of England. Here, there is little call for Linux skill compared to Solaris. Also, the Solaris lot seem to command better salaries ! Having said that, I'd stick with Linux. Linux is just more fun.
