Not Enough Ram to install Fedora core 7...

I'm very new to Linux, and just received a copy of Fedora Core 7. I had Win XP and wanted to Install Fedora, I didn't want to dual boot so I formatted the HD. Now when I attempt to install Fedora, I get the message that there is not enough ram to install fedora. I know there is plenty of RAM, Why would I get this message?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks
Mike

P.S. Sorry if this has been answered before, but I couldn't find an answer.

At least 192mb for a graphical install. You might get away with 64mb (ideally you should use 128mb) for a text only install.

I think you would be better off choosing a lighter GNU/Linux distro to use on a machine with those specs. Something like Puppy Linux or Damn Small Linux etc. For a comprehensive list and overview use this site: http://distrowatch.com/
