Not able to use to Free space in RHEL 5.8 64 bit

Dear All

I am trying to make use of free space in my RHEL m/c by creating a new partition.
From GUI
----------
I am able to create a partition in ext3 but when I am mounting the same it gets mounted as "/media/_archive"
Is this the right way to create one?

Please guide.

Thanks & Regards
Roy

I generally prefer the cmd line, so I've got complete control
You could use
Code:
fdisk -l
(lower case L option there)
to confirm which partition, then use this https://access.redhat.com/documentat...-Mounting.html
