not able to login through browser on vsftp
 

Hi,

I am able to login through command prompt using ftp command , but when i try to login using explorer or browser i get "550 permission denied" error. i checked permission on the folder. This is fine.

Can anybody help me on this?

You should uncomment the above line in /etc/vsftpd/vsftpd.conf to login as an anonymous user

Now from client machine ftp <ipaddress>
username as anonymous and on password prompt press enter, you will get the ftp prompt

This setting was fine. With ftp command i was able to do this as i already stated , I think it is the issue with ftp clients(windows explorer, Mozilla browser, winscp). but ftp command is working fine as expected.
