not able to load fedora core on presario 7470

I have a Compaq Presario 7470 running windows xp pro. I have xp on one 20gb hard drive and am trying to load a fedora core based linux program on a second 20gb hard drive. I reformatted the drive, restarted computer with cd provided. I made it to the point in setup where you choose the package to install. Then it tells me I am trying to load this on a system that I cannot load it to. It doesn't tell me why. Any ideas?

You have to have Fedora Core installed on the drive to be able to run the program.
