normal login screen vanished!
After installing suse 9.3, I did a yast online update and now my login screen has changed. there is no choice for kde, gnome or any of the others, simply a grey screen with an xconsole. I can hold my left mouse button down and select an xterm. If I type "gnome" I can position my top panel, bottom panel and main desktop - it's a sort of window-maker type of interface.
Any ideas on how I might revert to my original login screen? Dave |
You need to change your defualt screen-manager to kdm or gdm. Unfortunately, I don't use so I don't have any idea how to do it.
However, if SuSE still gives out those excellent manuals that it used to give with boxed versions, you will find something about that in there. |
Ah - unfortunately saman007uk, I don't have such manuals! Any help in editing the default screen manager would be great.....
