noob questions (themes and media)

i finally found drivers for my integrated nic...i am running redhat 9.0. i have seen some pretty cool themes for gnome...i even found a few and downloaded them but i can't figure out how to install them. if anyone knows where to get any cool themes....or how to install them :P i could for sure use some help.

also i was wondering what is a good media player for linux?

"mplayer" is a wonderful video player.
"xmms" is also a good program (I think is for audio, only), and people say good things about "xine"
