No Write Permission...
 
Whenever i try to change my refresh rate for my moniutro bc the screen shakes in the x86 config file i try and save and it says i dont have write permission....

whats wrong?

Log in as root and do it.

this file's owner is root so if you want to change it you have to be superuser or chage it's permissions, but it's better not to do the last thing.

ok so how do i log in as super user, or become super user, step by step please im a n00b

on the commandline:

su
type root password
exit

exit is to return to the user account :)
