Well happy 2 say i bought a new card,and am up and running fine,this card was seen right away,i just had 2 setup ip and that was it.
So thanks alot guys 4 all your help.and ill be sure 2 check back 4 all my linux needs....

well im back and in need of a little advice.now i have the internet working fine if i set it up each time with iwconfig and the ifconfig,then dhcpcd 2 pull ip.
now iv been reading about making a exe file 2 be able to just click it and be connected instead of haveing 2 do it manuaaly.can i get a little kick in the right direction there please?

Hi,

You would not be creating a '.exe' file on GNU/Linux. You could write a script to do the required tasks but you should setup the system properly. If you remained on Slackware then you should run 'netconfig' and supply the requested information. That way the inet will be setup for you.

You should learn to use the search here on LQ. This has been covered a lot so I'm sure you will find your answer. In the future try to search first then post if you can't seem to get things going.
