John,
I have been using Fedora back as far as FD11 and do updates frequently. Have had a few issues but were able to resolve them. In this case using kernals 3.7.3-101 or 3.7.6-102 I get the blank screen. I can see that it is going through the normal boot/loading process and I am blindly able to log in according to the disc light activity. I had tried using ctrl-alt f3, f4 etc but was not able to get more then a black screen that momentarily flashes a white screen.
The 3.6.11-5 still works and that is the repolist data below as I currently can't use 101, 102. Also I have not played around with Rawhide or any video files. My problem occurred just from a routine update ie: "su yum update".
Appreciate you assistance.
Ron

the nvidia.run and the kmod-nvidia will REQUIRE you to rebuild the boot image to remove the nouveau driver( the first time only to change from one to the other ) . This is very well documented , very well documented !

also keep in mind .That fedora is a fast passed "Research and Development " distro

fedora is a very fast passed development Operating system and updates can sometimes really mess up an install
Less likely recently the last few versions have been rather stable
this is life with fedora !
except it or use something else
but for a normal everyday update should not kill the video driver if using the nouveau driver

unless you turned on the "rawhide" repo
rawhide is the alpha testing of the NEXT fedora
Right now that is fedora 19
