No traces for sftp connetion in shell.log file !!!!

Hello There,
In my java based application i am using mindterm to have a ssh connection.
And my target device is in Linux OS.
When ever i am doing ftp to my target device i am getting the traces in shell.log file.
But whenever i am doing sftp to my target devices i am not getting any kind of traces in shell.log file.

Please help me is there any way to get the traces when doing sftp?

Thank You!!

Have you tried looking at the /var/logs/ftp.log file?

Please post the aforementioned file to in this thread.
