I have had a problem with sound in my fedora 8 machine ever since I installed fedora.Ive tried Installing all the pulseaudio utilities and even followed a walkthrough posted in an earlier forum but to no avail. When I type
pulseaudio -w to start the server the following error is displayed
[Cherub@localhost ~]$ pulseaudio -w
pulseaudio: invalid option -- w
E: main.c: failed to parse command line.
When I try running pulse audio from commandline, the following is displayed
[Cherub@localhost ~]$ pulseaudio

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
