No Sound in KDE and simple question about NTFS
Hi!
I have recently installed Slack 10, and I have some trouble to get the sound device to work. I have a Sound Blaster Live 5.1 Audigy, I have also a TV-Card. Both card are found when I run alsaconf and I choose the sound blaster. In alsamixer it seems that my TV-card is the card0 device so I made an own .asoundrc file so my soundblaster decice is shown if I just type alsamixer. However the devices are found by the system but I can't get any sound at all =( When I start KDE there is a error message telling me "No playback device found, using default device = NULL. I have tryed to set the ALSA plugin in XMMS but no sound at all. Can somebody please help me??? And my second question. Is there any possibility to mount a ntfs partition in rw mode without using the ntfs-capture program? /Johan |
And my second question.
Is there any possibility to mount a ntfs partition in rw mode without using the ntfs-capture program? I read somewhere Paragon software had rw drivers for linux. |
look in /etc/modules.conf
are any of the ALSA settings listed there??? |
