Talking no sound in flash animations as common user

hi there,

i am having a problem with flash animation/java... i have the mozilla (1.4.1) flash/java plugins installed, but when viewing an animation of wether java/flash as some other user that is not root, i get no sound... i guess its a permissions problem, what modules/files i need to change the permissions to?... or is it another problem?.. thanks..
