Hi,

As i mentioned in the title i'm running fedora core 3, my main problem is that I can't seem to get any sound, (I've already unmuted the volume in volume control from the main menu ), but i think i set up the wrong driver when i installed fedora and now I can't find any way to change the driver. I tried 'soundcard detection' from the main menu but it doesn't run (my second problem), i tried system-config-soundcard, but i get the error:
I tried sndconfig, but it tells me that soundcore.o was not found in the module search path and that i need a kernel with modular sound

I tried dmesg but it doesn't seem to mention sound or audio, except:
Any advice would be greatly appreciated, as all my googling hasn't helped

So for the sound maybe you havent install everything /full install/ from cd...and some programs not runns....reinstall the FC3 and install everything.......and put the correct sound card or let it automatically to find the card and to set the drivers.......its very good option...or try to do Something from the Control Panel...(If It W0rks )
