Hi, I have a new machine where I setup fedora 13. When I run any multimedia program I have no sound. I have the image in any video player but not the sound.
I went to Preference > Hardware > sound, dir a right and left speakers test, I can hear the sound.
As I am not expert to linux, I would appreciate your help.
Thanks in advance
While searching the forum, I found the following command
" lsmod|grep snd"
I di dthis and the output hereunder seems indicating that I have necessary files if I am not mistaken.
you need to add yourself to the audio group ( this should have been done "auto" on the first boot , the windows where you set up the "user" account ,the time zone, ect...)
this is a very common bug in fedora , it happens
i am assuming you have the Gnome desktop ( default)
