No sound from external speakers
 

I am running on F13 on Dell optiplex 380 computer. I do not have sound from the external speakers. Internal speakers are working quite ok. Seemingly it seems the drivers are not installed. I am new to linux world and would want you people to assist me on how to go about this.

Fedora 13 is very out of date: the current version is 17. So, no bug fixes and no security patches.

Look in the menu under System — Preferences and you should find an entry called Volume or Sound. Run that and it enables you to configure your hardware.
