No shutdown choice! Please Help

Sorry, i'm a linux newbie, i cannot find a shutdown option in Mandrake 9.1. I found close session but it return me to a new login screen. I've tryed with root login and a user login. Also execute command "shutdown" but nothing! Also keyboard shortcut "ctrl+canc+pgdown" send me to new login. Please help me!

Have you tryied with "halt" command?
At least this one works for RH. Make sure you are in root.

Did you try to shut down as root? Maybe in your system only root can shut down the system...
try ctrl+alt+F6 (alt F7 brings back to normal )and log in as root, then use shutdown command. If does work, then you need to give permission for the users to be able to shutdown the system. If does not, I don't know how to help you
