Hello,
I'm in the middle of my second day of playing with Linux. I've managed to configure a couple of printers I had on my Windows network for use on the Linux box, and they seem to work (passed test pages).
I was reading the user's guide, and it talks about a "printer notification icon" that I should be able to add to my task panel, but I can't seem to find this. There was a "printer setup" icon that I think was a launcher for the printer management system, but I don't think that's the same thing that's being talked about here:
http://ftp.redhat.com/pub/redhat/lin...top-panel.html
(notice that the icon is slightly different than the one next to the Workspace Switcher icon)
I think this icon is supposed to appear during print jobs, and be next to the up2date status icon, but it's not. There is a notification area configured, since I can see the up2date status icon and the su icon (when active).
Any pointers?
