No. of hard drive


I would like to check many hard drive is in the server , I use fdisk & df , the output is as below

fdisk -l
=====
Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/sda1 * 1 13 104391 83 Linux
/dev/sda2 14 9721 77979510 8e Linux LVM

df
=
/dev/mapper/VolGroup00-LogVol00

It seems to have 1 hard drive in the serve , but I remember there should have two ( if there is two hard drive , it should have /dev/sdb1 ) , can advise how many drive in my server ? thx

You may have two drives in your LVM. Try "sudo /sbin/lvmdiskscan".

you mean I have two drives ? one is /dev/sda , another is what ?
I can't find vmdiskscan in my RHEL serve .

You only have one hard drive and by the way your root partition is almost full.
