No need to start X so I can use my second screen (hdmi). How?

years later I'm back to all mighty slackware. I installed version 13.37 and saw something I wasn't used to on other distros: the Virtual console Login prompt (text mode, not GDM or XDM etc) started immediately on my second screen (hdmi) and until then I was used to having to start X to use my second screen. How is that acomplished? Just want to now how :D I got very curious. This way things are much more convenient and elegant :D I use a laptop with a hdmi screen plugged in.

Peace :D

laptops (according to bios programm?) have by default clone output display mode.

btw use xrandr(or arandr) to setup second display in X.
AND clone display mode is just clone output not separate usable output.

I thought It could be related to another subject because I used other distros on my laptop (ubuntu inclusive) and this never happened with them. I had to tweek nvidia-settings to make it switch screens so that happened only when I started X.

Thank you :)
