Yes, obviously.

I have seen missing mice when using a usb kvm on another Dell workstation too, typically when using the kvm to switch between a windows server and fedora. The mouse often comes up missing in Fedora in that scenario. I still suspect something in the bios, either some glitch on Dell's end or some obscure intermittent issue in initializing devices in the linux kernel where the bios needs a complete power off to reset properly.

Its my touchpad (HP 6830s) I haven't tried a mouse. Sorry I forgot to say that.
