No Mouse After Log Off - Mandrake 9.0


I'm using a Microsoft () intellimouse optical (nothing fancy). when i log off mandrake 9.0 (not at first boot) the mouse stops working even if i log on again. i have to reboot it to use the mouse again. the mouse is usb and im using KDE 3.0 (and mandrake 9.0) thanks!

Have you tried unplugging it and replugging it a few seconds later?

OK, when the mouse disappears, try opening a console and as root, type usbview
Have a look to see if your pc still sees the mouse. Post back what usbview tells you. (If that command doesn't work, you can install usbview by typing as root, urpmi usbview )
