No More Windows!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've had problems with WinXP ever since I installed Mandrake 9.1 on the same hard drive. The two got along for about two weeks, until something happened to XP and Windows would not even take the XP install cd, it kept saying registry error, so thats that for XP. I done a complete install of Mandrake 9.1 wiping XP. Now I'm worried about all the settings Windows had, i.e. how much hd space I had left, how much memory I was using, how many minutes before the computer went into standby, among other settings. My question is, does MD9.1 have any of these system settings like Windows did. I'm a little worried cause I don't know what my computer's doing.
I appreciate any help bear7 |
If your using KDE, you can d/l a proggy called Superkaramba from www.kde-look.org. There are themes for that that can put all the info your looking for on your desktop. I'll take a screenprint and show you in a few. There's a thread around here somewhere that has a link to the RPM.
and btw, I just made the switch to full time Linux. Congrats! |
Here you go. Look at the lower right. That is the hardware monitor.
