No module error message when kernel upgrades.......
 
I have installed Fedora4 and i was trying to update my kernel with 2.6.24. When trying to initrd image file, getting error as
No module found for ata_piix support.

I have selected in all serial ATA chipset support.I dont know why the error comes? can anyone help me?

Modules or in-kernel
 
Hi,

Are you sure you compiled them as modules? You might have compiled them "in-kernel" (I know I have on occasion)

This would happen if you choose "Y" instead of "M" in "make menuconfig".

I added the above specified modules with M options. It works fine for me.
