Kindly let me know how to install smidump in my system.
I cannot use sudo apt-get install as well as i dont have internet connection on my linux but have on windows.
I downloaded smidump.1.gz file from http://manpages.ubuntu.com/manpages/...smidump.1.html
but dont know how to proceed further.
That's because all you downloaded was the MAN PAGE, which is what's listed on that link you posted. If you look at the top of that page, you'll see another link, that says "Provided By". That is the actual program. Try clicking it, then pick the package for your system.
You don't say what you've done/tried, aside from downloading a file, or even what version of Ubuntu you're running, so it's hard to give details.
