No keyboard or mouse with DecTOP in Xubuntu

I've just obtained an AMD DecTOP machine which hopefully will run my weather station and/or my webcam. I've followed the installation guide at jsco.org/dectop (Sorry, first post, can't make it a link) and finaly got my installation to look exactly like the one in the picture. Unfortunately that's as far as I've got because my mouse and keyboard don't work so I can't log in, can't switch to a terminal to edit anything and even if I could (I know I can power off, power on and go into recovery mode), I wouldn't know what to change/where to look for logs.

Help. Please?
