No Keyboard/Mouse in X/Console

It started out that my PS/2 keyboard and mouse did not work in X.... but now, they don't seem to work after I boot from Lilo, either..... It's a brand new Dell keyboard, and an old mouse, the computer isn't a dell, but an old Celery 433 in a Slot 1 mobo. They worked before I rebuilt the case, but now...all sorts of things are going wrong!

no keyboard/mouse
CDrom not detected in Bios...
and I don't even know what's going wrong with the floppy!

first things first, though, how do I fix the keyboard and mouse?

My first guess is that you damaged the mobo
when shifting it into the new case ... I don't
think a conifguration change will fix that.

Or does the keyboard work before Lilo?
Can you enter the BIOS set-up?

Cheers,
Tink

Umm, fairly certain it's not the mobo.

I can get into the bios, and I can even hit 'enter' to get into slack or type the boot instructions.... i.e. Linux root=/dev/hda2

Hmm, I'll boot to linux now, but I'm getting sort of weary of hard-shutting off Linux w/o umounting my hard drives.

EDIT:

Keyboard works in console.
