no kernel headers?


I am trying to install the drivers for my gforce2mx card.....

when i run the installer it tells me something about no kernel headers? Being a total newbie i am lost.....

You need the kernel source installed. I dont know what distro you use, but you probobly have a package of it on your install discs.

well, i think i did that maybe i keep doing it wrong...

apt-get install kernel-source-2.4.21bf24

then i went to the /usr/src (i think) and did

tar zxvf kernel-source-2.4.21bf42.tar.bz2

then what? it makes a new dir with tons of files i think? can't exactly remember at work right now

Then:
ln -sf /usr/src/newdirectory /usr/src/linux

Where 'newdirectory' is the new directory it made with lots of files
