Hi ickda!

I'm not entirely clear on the details you're trying to give us in text of your post, and when I try to view the pictures, the left portion of them seems to be cut off. As a result it's unclear to me what they would show.

Perhaps you could help us try to help you, by giving us more details and post complete pictures.

Yes, but the pictures seem to be top and bottom of one image, with the left portion of BOTH the top and bottom missing.

It seems almost impossible to help without more information. I can see only PART of a "command not found" message. But I can't see what command was entered. Did you mistype the name of a command? Or, do you have some very important command missing from your system?

There was a time like that for all of us, before we learned what we now know, so we can appreciate that.

But if you could somehow take the pictures again, and include the entire width of your screen, from the left side to the right, so we can see everything, that might allow us to help you.

I think I found the specs on your Dell.
Is that your machine in the above link?

It might just be that you need a driver for your WiFi card or a driver for that chip set.

Is Slack pup installed?

I'm having a hard time reading the text too.
I'll try opening those files on my PC tomorrow and see if I can see them more clearly.
If I'm able to I'll post the output--

Install Linux alongside Windows but you might want to try Linux Mint or Debian instead.
If you can download it to your phone. If not the WiFi may not work unless fully installed.

Is the os Windows 7 or Windows 8?

I really need to get the output of those files to better assist you.

Ok so your os is Windows 7; got that. You'll have to shrink your Windows 7 partition and upon doing so you will have unallocated space. You can use that unallocated space to create a partition for your EXT 4 journaling file system and 1 to 2 GB for the linux-swap partition.

Before I install CentOS I had to shrink my Windows 7 partition to about 1/2 the size so I shrunk it to 249 GB due to having a 500 GB HDD.

Is this your machine in this link?

This is a good video to help you install Puppy to your HDD-
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eS1B46-9CHA

Once you have Slacko Puppy installed the kernel should provide support for your 802.11n WiFi nic.-
If not it shouldn't be hard to find the driver for your card or chipset--

Glad that's your machine, thanks for clarifying that.

Do you mean install Puppy wiped your hard drive completely?

If so you must of told Puppy to take over the whole drive by accident or when you used the partition manager you may have made a mistake.

With that 250 GB HDD you should be able to allow Puppy to use 125 GB for the install.
Make a partition (Ext4) journaling file system Partition 124GB and than create a 1 GB linux-swap partition.
***During the install, when it comes time to partition make sure that you don't accidently click on those Windows partitions. Click only on the unallocated space and create the 2 partitions that Puppy needs.

124 GB is 124000 in megabytes and 1 GB is 1000 in megabytes.

You should be able to recovery your Windows password here in the link below.
Since you only have your phone maybe use a friends pc to download one of these programs for psswrd recovery-
